I need you guys to be so fucking serious. Nobody is forcing you to read these books. I wish you guys would admit that you're talking about romance / erotica books. If you have a problem with these books, then you're obviously not the target audience. Most young girls get into reading (I certainly did) by picking up cringy romance books. Most people's tastes evolve from what they initially read. There's many different sub communities of booktok so if you're only getting these type of recommendations, you're clearly interacting with it in some way. Also, if you're going to act superior to these books and make a statement, at least make sure to understand the definition of fast fashion.
